The Head of Technological Innovation will be a pivotal leader responsible for defining and executing ABL’s technology and digital strategy. This role involves spearheading the identification and implementation of emerging technologies to optimize fleet management, enhance operational efficiency, ensure robust risk management, and maximise asset value across the portfolio.

• Strategy Development & Execution:Define and execute an IT and digital strategy that aligns with business objectives, supporting long-term growth and digital transformation initiatives.

• Emerging Technology Adoption:Identify, champion, and operationalize accepted mature and emerging technologies such as AI and data analytics to improve internal operational efficiency and enhanced safety/risk management.

• Process Improvement & Digitisation:Challenge existing processes and drive the digitisation of asset management functions, including documentation, record-keeping, and lease management systems.

• Team Leadership & Development:Lead, coach, and develop high-performing technology and innovation teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.

• Cybersecurity & Compliance:Oversee the implementation of robust cybersecurity protocols and risk management strategies to protect sensitive data and operational continuity.

• Implement AI-driven process automation to streamline internal operations, such as contract management, invoice processing, and documentation compliance checks, reducing manual errors and improving efficiency.

• A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in technology, data, or systems management within the aviation or a highly regulated engineering-related sector, with at least 5 years at a senior management level.

• A degree in a STEM-related subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Aviation Management is essential. A Master's degree or professional qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven experience in managing large-scale technology transformation projects.

• Ability to translate complex technical information into actionable business strategies for a non-technical audience.

• Entitlement/desire to work in UAE.

• Fluency in English and superb written and verbal communication skills.

• Well organised meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong time-management skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritise multiple projects at once and deliver to agreed deadlines.

• Ability to work under pressure, often with tight timescales and with a limited brief.

• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.
