ABL Aviation Sponsors 79th IATA Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit
As part of its ongoing strategic partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), ABL Aviation, the global independent aircraft investment management firm, is a key sponsor of the organization’s 79th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit. Known as the world’s largest annual gathering of airline leaders and industry stakeholders, the AGM and Summit will be held 4-6 June in Istanbul, Turkey. The three-day, invitation-only event will be hosted by Pegasus Airlines, Turkey’s leading independent airline and a long-time ABL Aviation client. AnadoluJet, Turkey’s preeminent regional airline, will co-host.
This year’s event will bring together IATA members, industry stakeholders, and prominent international business and aviation media to discuss the industry’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. Top issues on the agenda include sustaining the industry’s post-COVID recovery and driving greater progress against decarbonization goals.
“Pegasus Airlines is an important and long-time ABL Aviation partner,” said ABL Aviation CEO and Founder Ali Ben Lmadani. “From our work together to complete the industry’s first-ever 100% remote delivery of an aircraft at the very height of the pandemic to our ongoing work helping them achieve record-setting performance and growth in the post-pandemic market, we have seen Pegasus Airlines exemplify our industry’s greatest strengths. With perseverance, ingenuity and strong partners, our businesses can thrive despite the headwinds we confront. There is no better host to welcome IATA’s global audience to Turkey for this important event.”
ABL Aviation is proud to support IATA, Pegasus Airlines and Anadolujet, as well as IATA’s global membership as a key sponsor of this important gathering and looks forward to continuing its work as an IATA Strategic Partner. Over the course of the last year, ABL Aviation has actively engaged with IATA leadership as well as its own clients and stakeholders to advance the association’s Fly Net Zero initiative, which commits to airline members to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Additional areas of focus for ABL Aviation’s strategic partnership with IATA include airline industry economics; technical operations and maintenance, repair, and overhaul services (MRO); and annual general meeting planning and programming.
