ABL Corporation is an independent and privately-owned group focused on aviation, maritime and real estate. The group is wholly-owned by family, operating from six offices worldwide in Dublin, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, Dubai and Casablanca.
The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in strengthening ABL’s financial operations in Morocco, ensuring accurate reporting, disciplined financial controls, and seamless delivery of key accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with local accounting policies.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, track working capital needs, and proactively highlight risks and opportunities.
Monitor and optimize working capital and cash management.
Oversee and execute the payroll process for the Casablanca office.
Ensure timely and accurate payment of suppliers and other operational expenses.
Conduct regular bank and cash reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Lead tax compliance activities, ensuring filings (corporate tax and payroll taxes) are completed on time and in full compliance with Moroccan tax laws.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors; coordinate year-end audit activities and deliver all required audit documentation.
Strengthen internal controls and support the continuous improvement of financial governance processes.
Skills & Competencies
Qualified Accountant with 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting or financial reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong capability with accounting/ERP systems.
Exceptional numeracy skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, interpret financial trends, and present clear recommendations.
Comfortable working with large data sets and performing complex reconciliations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and senior stakeholders.
Highly organised with strong time-management skills; able to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure, often with tight timescales.
