ABL Corporation is an independent and privately-owned group focused on aviation, maritime and real estate. The group is wholly-owned by family, operating from six offices worldwide in Dublin, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, Dubai and Casablanca.
The Junior Accountant will support ABL’s finance operations in Morocco by ensuring accurate day‑to‑day accounting, timely processing of financial transactions, and strong compliance with internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting files.
Record daily transactions accurately, including supplier invoices, employee expenses, and bank entries.
Assist in preparing monthly management reports and financial schedules.
Help prepare weekly and monthly cash flow updates and monitor routine cash movements.
Process payments to suppliers and ensure timely settlement of operational expenses.
Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
Support the payroll process for the Casablanca office, ensuring accuracy of inputs and documentation.
Assist with tax compliance requirements, including preparing documentation for VAT, payroll taxes, and corporate tax filings.
Provide support during audits by gathering documentation and responding to audit requests.
Contribute to strengthening internal controls and improving accounting processes.
Skills & Competencies
1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; early-stage professional qualifications (or working towards one) are an advantage.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems.
High level of accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve basic accounting issues.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across teams.
Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
Motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
